🍜Review for Nongshim • Chapagetti Jjajang Noodles
Mild/bland earthy jjajangmyeon taste. Noodles from Nongshim are always good in my book, great bite. Spice package and vegetable flakes were cooked with the noodles in a little boiling water which made the sauce thick and shiny using the concentrated starchy water from the fried noodle brick. Becomes a great instant ramen with a lot of spring onion. The contrast between the earthy flavor and crisp and fresh onion flavor is amazing. I wonder if it tastes better when eaten as a cold dish as I assume the jjangmyeon flavor would be stronger and pair well with the spring onion. I added crispy fried garlic bits on top for texture and a pleasant flavor boost. Good ramen choice if you eat meat with a strong taste as the ramen acts like a blank canvas for the meat.
